Safaris, safaris, and more safaris!

This trip marked my second time to Africa. Back in 2017 I visited South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This trip was very different, in all positive ways. After 14 hours of travel, we spent the night in Nairobi and immediately headed out to the Masai Mara. The Mara is known as the best place in the world to see big cats. During my last trip to Africa, one of the animals I didn’t get to see was a cheetah, so I was really hoping we’d get a chance to see them this time. We saw nine.

My favorite animal? Surprising it wasn’t the cheetahs, it was the hyenas. OK I won’t include the baby lion cups on the list because that would be cheating. All in all, Kenya and the people and animals that call it home, is a photographer’s paradise. It was the prefect trip!
